About PMExaminer

...

PMExaminer teaches you how AI agents are built for fintech.

I’m Manu, the founder of PMExaminer.

A few years ago, I got the chance to interview some of the biggest names in fintech.

JP Nicols. Cohost of Breaking Banks, the #1 global fintech podcast.

Ron Shevlin. Author of the Fintech Snark Tank on Forbes and host of the What’s Going On in Banking podcast.

Bradley Leimer. Former Head of Innovation and FinTech Strategy at Santander U.S. and a leading voice on digital banking and fintech.

Those conversations pushed me to explore fintech more deeply.

...

That is why I moved to Toronto and joined companies like TD Bank and Manulife as a Product Manager.

That is where I learned how successful fintech products actually get launched.

You cannot just build a product, ship it, and hope it works.

You have to think strategically.

You have to make decisions without perfect information.

You have to work with compliance teams.

You have to understand the customer, the business, and the risk.

And you have to do all of this without breaking regulatory expectations.

That product lens now shapes how I build AI agents.

Because in fintech, an AI agent has to solve a real business problem inside a regulated environment.

Why I'm Building PMExaminer

I’m building PMExaminer to show you how to build AI agents for fintech in small, practical steps.

You will learn things like:

  • How do you choose which workflow to start with?
  • What business problem should the agent solve?
  • How do you break that workflow into smaller pieces?
  • What should each agent do?
  • Which parts should be rules-based?
  • Where should an LLM be used?
  • Where does human review belong?
  • What needs to be captured for audit?
  • How do you think about ROI?

But PMExaminer will not stop at workflow design.

We will also look at the strategy behind AI agents.

That includes:

  • How to come up with an AI-agent strategy
  • How that strategy should connect to the business strategy
  • How to avoid agent creep

The goal is simple.

To help you make better decisions when building AI Agents inside fintech.

P.S.

I’m also passionate about machine learning — passionate enough to pack my bags for Toronto and complete a post-graduate program in Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning at Georgian College.

I've written ML articles for O'Reilly Media and that background connects directly to my work on AI agents in banking and fintech.

P.P.S.

Toronto is easily one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Here's a nighttime shot of the CN Tower from the Toronto Islands — still one of my favorite views.
